Drag your Nag is an obstacle course race which is approximately 150 yards long. The course is relatively flat with several different
obstacles such as tires, a water pit, sand, planks, wheelbarrow racing, etc. The team with the fastest time wins.
The two-person
teams are comprised of a man/woman combination in which one contestant must carry the other. All contestants must be 18 or older to
enter this compeition. To compete in the nationals, you must be 21 years of age. A 5-second penalty will be enforced each time
the person being carried touches the ground or assists the carrier through an obstacle. Also, if you dismount or skip any of the obstacles,
you will be disqualified. The carrier will be provided with a belt, to give his/her partner something to grasp. No other "equipment"
is allowed.
The "piggy-back", "fireman's carry", and the "Estonian carry" are all carrying techniques that have been used successfully.
However any carrying technique that keeps the person being carried from touching the ground is permitted.
